Zhengwei Li is a London based Chinese artist, pramirliy focussed on painting and painting-led installations. The exploration of colour, space and texture in her work pairs with allegorical scenes, and memories extracted from her personal history.
The images and the quality of the painting reflect the atmosphere of the sentiments we all feel in the quiet moments of our fast-paced lives; anger, loneliness, deperession, anxiety, delight and desire. Objects, stories and landscapes are layered within the work, ocuppying different planes in the same story, and pulling focus to the associations between them.
